You’ll gain a clear understanding of federal and state laws that govern the appraisal industry, including FIRREA, The Appraisal Foundation, and the roles of the Appraiser Qualifications Board and Appraisal Standards Board, as well as how California licenses and regulates appraisers through the Bureau of Real Estate Appraisers (BREA), the Bureau of Real Estate Appraisers Practice Act, and the California Code of Regulations. In addition, the course includes practical guidance on cultural competency in California appraisals, covering essential skills, professionalism, strategies for becoming more culturally competent, and effective communication techniques for demonstrating cultural awareness in your work.
